Diller Furniture, a proud tradition...

Diller Furniture has a long history in the furniture business and is proud to be in its 4th generation of family ownership and management.

Frank and Menno Diller started their furniture business together in 1903, moving to a permanent location in McComb, Ohio seven years later. Frank Diller can be seen in the painting to the right delivering a bedroom suite on a horse drawn wagon.

The Dillers sold their McComb location in 1953 to in-laws but they weren't out of the business long. Eugene Diller, Frank's son, built the existing store on the North side of Lima near state routes 65 and 155 in 1955. The store has been expanded three times since and now covers over 20,000 square feet .

Diller Furniture's store is currently operated by Tom Diller (Frank's Grandson) and Matt Diller (Tom's Son) with help from both of their wives. Both men grew up in the furniture business. "I probably did my first delivery when I was 14," Matt said. "As soon as I got my driver's license, I became the full-time delivery boy. It's in my blood, probably." Tom Diller said he has worked in the business ever since he was old enough to lift one end of a sofa.
